NUTRITION MAILING LISTS, NEWS GROUPS

Tony Helman's catalogue of Nutrition mailing lists
A fairly comprehensive catalogue of mailing lists for nutrition professionals, though not entirely up to date. It does not deal with mailing lists for the public, nor with bulletin boards.
Tile: mailing lists and news groups
Use the search engine for terms such as "nutrition", "food", "diet" etc. Output lacks descriptions, but a short description is accessible in an associated file.

List search
Can enter nutrition into the search engine, returns a moderate number of lists, main feature of which is that it indicates the list size.
One Globe: Agricultural mailing lists and usenet groups
Good set of agricultural mailing lists and some news groups (including meat and dairy ones). Not always much descriptive detail.
Fnspec archive
Archive for postings of the primary mailing list for extension nutrition specialists in the US.
Healthy School Meals Resource System: Online Discussion Groups
Information and subscribing details for NAL linked mailing lists associated with US-based child nutrition programs, such as Mealtalk, Foodsafe, Reviewtalk etc.
Pedi-rd mailing list
"Pedi-RD is an e-mail mailing list for dietitians and other health care professionals interested in neonatal/perinatal and pediatric nutrition" Another new mailing list is NS-net, which is related to nutrition support and parenteral nutrition.
